I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor, which means that I am experienced in a range of different models and can use a variety of approaches to work with you as an individual, in a way that  really fits in with your needs.

Quite simply, different people want and need different things from Counselling.  Whether you need a solution-focused approach, want to work with your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to learn skills to cope and change, or whether you need your own space and time to share your story and explore yourself, your past or your worries, your needs will always be my priority. In your initial session, we will explore what you want from Counselling and together agree how we will approach this.

My professional background...

I qualified as a Counsellor in 2007, and have worked with people of all ages, and from all backgrounds.  Over the years I have worked with a wide range of private, voluntary and statutory services, including schools, social care, health and education services, and children's and young people's services , online and face-to-face, as well as in private practice.

Who I work with...

I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and with whatever they bring or are struggling with including young people, adults, and parents&carers.

I am particularly passionate about working with young adults navigating their way into adult hood and supporting the challenges, future-fears, identity questioning and anxieties that can come with this tricky transition.

How do we get started...

I offer an initial free half-hour online or telephone session where you can have an informal chat about what you feel you need from Counselling before deciding if you want to work with me.
